LANSING, MI (WLNS) – Residents of Michigan rank 35th out of 50 states in happiness.
That’s from a new report by WalletHub.
“We examined the 50 states across 30 key metrics, ranging from the depression rate and the share of adults feeling productive to income growth and the unemployment rate,” WalletHub researchers wrote in the explanation of their report.
Michigan’s neighboring states of Indiana and Ohio weren’t much better than Michigan. Indiana was ranked at 34 in the happiness scale, while Ohio was ranked at 38. Wisconsin and Minnesota, ranked much higher. With Wisconsin ranked at 20 and Minnesota at 11. Illinois ranks at 22.
