WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A young couple made the most of the Wind Surge’s final home game of the season.
Before Sunday afternoon’s game downtown at Equity Bank Park, Ian Turner had just one question. And he needed the field to ask it.
Turner got down on one knee between the pitcher’s mound and home plate to ask his girlfriend, Rebekah Walsh, to marry him.
And she said yes.
It was a happy ending for the Wind Surge, too. They beat Tulsa 12-11 and are still in playoff contention in the Texas League.
Here’s to happily ever after for the couple and the team.
