WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wichita police say a 27-year-old man has been arrested after a shooting Sunday night in east Wichita.

Officers say the man shot a 25-year-old relative during a fight around 10 p.m. The victim was taken to the hospital and remains in serious condition.

According to investigators, the shooting started as an argument between the two family members before escalating to gunfire.

Police say community tips helped them track the suspect to the 1600 block of South Edgemoor, where he was taken into custody.
