SUTTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — Braxton County High School underwent a "precautionary lockdown" on Monday, according to school officials, due to a situation that "required immediate attention."
Details are limited at this time, but a Facebook post by Braxton County Schools on Monday evening said that law enforcement responded to the school and that "an individual was taken into custody." No details about the individual or any criminal charges they may have received were specified.
The post assured parents that no students, staff or faculty were ever placed into any danger and nobody was harmed during the incident. The post added that the situation has since been resolved and normal school operations will begin Tuesday.
