FULTON COUNTY ( 25News Now ) - A Fulton County judge has ordered a Canton man to remain in jail before he’s tried for the stabbing death of a 70-year-old man last week.
The first-degree murder charge filed against 38-year-old Rocky Garwood reveals for the first time that authorities believe David Kuntz was stabbed to death at a home on Baxter Court.
Garwood appeared in court Sunday before Judge Thomas B. Ewing, who granted the state’s petition to deny pretrial release.
If Garwood is found guilty, he faces up to 60 years in prison, and he would have to serve the entire sentence.
Judge Ewing scheduled a preliminary hearing for Sept. 29.
As part of the investigation, police are asking for the public’s help in reviewing any possible video surveillance from the night of Tuesday Sept. 2 i
