Fabio Paratici’s return to Tottenham has been thrown into doubt by Daniel Levy’s shock exit as chairman.

talkSPORT exclusively revealed last month that Paratici had agreed to resume his role of managing director of football from next month.

However, the move was very much driven by Levy, which means Paratici has now been left in limbo.

The Italian was previously forced to leave Spurs after being banned for 30 months in January 2023 for false accounting at old club Juventus.

He had been assisting Levy on an unofficial basis after FIFA reduced the suspension.

The fact Levy has lined up Paratici’s return is another illustration that he was not expecting to be forced out by Tottenham owners ENIC .
