LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A London woman is behind bars after she was accused of stealing a Toyota Scion from her ex-boyfriend’s property.
Deputies with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office took Tonya Parms, 47, into custody on Monday night off Powder Mill Road.
When police got in touch with Parms by phone, they said she refused to return the vehicle.
Police later discovered that Parms had been on house arrest and was required to wear an ankle monitor. This allowed deputies to figure out where she was a result.
When police found Parms, she told them she had parked the vehicle down a service road off White Oak Road in the western part of the county.
Deputies learned that the vehicle had been vandalized after figuring out where it was.
