RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Ceremonies across North Carolina are commemorating the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, honoring the lives lost and the bravery of first responders.
Governor Josh Stein joined the North Carolina National Guard in Raleigh for a remembrance ceremony, emphasizing the importance of unity and learning from the past. Meanwhile, at UNC Chapel Hill, hundreds participated in an annual stair climb at Kenan Memorial Stadium to pay tribute to the victims and heroes of 9/11.
