Charlie Kirk is dead . Assassinated whilst speaking on a college campus in Utah. He was young - 31 years old with a wife and two children. Most Australians have probably never heard of Charlie. Most will attribute his death to the US's lax gun laws more so to his political ideology.

At 31, he was one of America's leading conservative activists and a Donald Trump confidant. Charlie was the darling of the young conservatives' upsurge in the US and abroad. He was a provocative influencer known for debating students and faculty on college campuses. He was fond of saying, "If you disagree with me, come to the front of the line."
