CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Despite a Bengals-win against the Jaguars Sunday afternoon, Cincinnati will have to continue their season without their star quarterback for at least three months, ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow sustained an injury to his left toe that will require him to have surgery, Schefter confirmed Monday morning.
He says that the Bengals have been calling for other free-agent quarterbacks since Burrow’s injury.
It happened during the second quarter of the game when Jaguars defensive end Arik Armstead sacked Burrow.
Burrow attempted to get up off the field, but quickly fell after taking just a few steps. A team of trainers had to help him the rest of the way.
Initially, his return was questionable, but the Bengals declared him to
