PHILADELPHIA — After nearly 12 long months, Kendel Dolby was finally back.
The Oklahoma defensive back made his 2025 debut last Saturday in the Sooners’ 42-3 win over Temple, playing 28 snaps and tying for the team lead with four tackles.
Dolby’s return to the field came almost one year after he sustained a gruesome ankle injury in the Sooners’ 2024 Southeastern Conference opener versus Tennessee. Dolby’s been climbing back ever since and finally reached the summit Saturday.
“It means the world,” Dolby said. “...It’s almost been a year since my injury, so being able to get back out there, move around a little bit, that means the world to me. I’m truly thankful to be back out there.”
