SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Two students from different schools have been recognized as the winners of the 912 Day Essay Contest.

The contest invited students from 6th to 7th grade in the Chatham County Public School System to share what makes them most proud of their community, and while judges received many submissions, two young students took the spotlight.

Annie Hartley of Charlie Ellis Montessori Academy and Landon Webb of the STEM Academy at Bartlett were this year's winners with two exceptional essays celebrating 912 Day and the spirit of Savannah.

Congratulations to Annie and Landon!
