CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Here’s a look at this week’s KCRG-TV9 Athlete of the Week football nominees. They include Laken Caves, Savion Miller and Hunter Curley.

Alburnett’s Laken Caves has rushed for 490 yards through three weeks and has 8 touchdowns. He also has 10 receptions for 157 yards and 1 touchdown on the season, plus a kick return for a touchdown.

Savion Miller has helped Regina Catholic start3-0 on the season. The junior has rushed for 347 yards and 5 touchdowns. Miller also has a receiving touchdown.

Hunter Curley has registered 505 rushing yards and his 9 touchdowns on the ground rank among the top 10 the state. He’s averaging 9.9 yards per carry for Wapsie Valley who sits unbeaten on the season.
