GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - September is prostate cancer awareness month, and local health experts are reminding people what to look out for.

ECU Health Urology Doctor, Mohamed Keheila, says prostate cancer is more common in men 45 and older, those who have a family history of the cancer, and men of African American descent.

The American Association for Cancer Research reports that prostate cancer is the most common cancer, other than non-melanoma skin cancer.

In addition, it’s the second leading cause of cancer deaths in men, other than lung cancer.
