The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory at 11:08 p.m. on Tuesday in effect until Wednesday at 9 a.m. for Higher Elevations of Indiana as well as Mercer, Venango, Forest, Lawrence, Butler, Clarion, Jefferson, Beaver, Armstrong and Indiana counties.

The weather service adds to anticipate, "Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog."

"Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous," adds the weather service. "If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
