The Border Patrol reported three recent arrests made by Yuma Sector agents, including of a Venezuelan man accused of assaulting New York City police officers last year and two Mexican nationals taken into custody in Las Vegas.

On Friday, the agency reported that Jhoan Jose Boada Marquez, a Venezuelan citizen, was arrested during a vehicle stop conducted by Blythe Station agents in Arizona.

Boada Marquez reportedly entered the United States illegally in December 2023 and was released by New York City authorities one month later after being arrested in connection with an alleged assault on two police officers.

Agents said Boada Marquez was traveling with two other Venezuelan nationals when stopped. All three were taken into custody and face charges of alien inadmissibility, fines and depo
