SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The San Angelo Police Department sent out a Nixle alert about the San Angelo Fire Department (SAFD) spraying for bees in the area of Howard and Van Buren.

SAFD spoke with CVHP about why they sprayed for bees at the Brentwood Park. SAFD said they sprayed for bees in the morning of Oct. 8 because they were emailed that a few people got stung by bees at that park.

SAFD said when they sprayed the beehive, they had to cut into a tree at the park to get to the hive.

SAFD said the Nixle alert was mainly to caution citizens in that area that there might still be a few bees that didn't get exterminated. SAFD said for anyone in that area be mindful for a couple of hours.
