SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Two drivers have been hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash on South Abe Street and West Beauregard Avenue on Thursday, Oct. 9.

The SAPD sent out a Nixle alert at 11:46 a.m., advising to avoid the area for the next hour due to a traffic accident.

According to SAPD, a gray Chevy pickup truck was headed west, and a red Jeep Cherokee was headed east when a white Chevy Traverse ran the red light. This caused the pickup truck to strike the Chevy Traverse, pushing the vehicle into the Jeep Cherokee.

SAPD believes that the driver of the Chevy Traverse possibly had a medical episode, leading to the driver passing out and running the light. The driver was taken to the hospital, but was awake when taken with non-incapacitating injuries.
