PETTIS COUNTY, Mo - Two people from Sedalia were killed in a Pettis County accident yesterday afternoon.

The accident occurred just after 4:15 at the intersection of U.S. Route 50 and Highway MM. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the crash occurred when a car driven by a 50-year-old Sedalia man entered the intersection on a green light and was struck by a dump truck driven by a 36-year-old Shelbina man.

Both the driver of the car and his passenger, a 48-year-old Sedalia woman, were killed in the crash. The dump truck driver was uninjured.
