SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — In the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 5, fire and smoke tore through the San Angelo Apostolic Church on Bell Street, sending firefighters rushing to the scene.
San Angelo Deputy Fire Marshal Eric Martinson said crews received the call around 5:30 a.m.
"On October 5th, at approximately 05:30, San Angelo fire dispatch received a call regarding a structure fire, and nine responding units arrived on scene, actively involved in fire. No injuries were attributed to this fire, and the fire is still under investigation," Martinson said.
For church members, seeing the damage firsthand was devastating.
