BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured early Saturday morning in the 3400 block of Concord Rd.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 2:30 a.m. Saturday and found one victim in a parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a Beaumont Police Department news release. A second victim had already been transported to a local hospital by private vehicle before officers arrived.

Workers at the End-Zone Sports Lounge told a 12News crew they witnessed a fight across the street in a vacant parking lot prior to the shooting.

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle before officers arrived, police said. Detectives have since interviewed both victims.
