LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) - State officials say an early-morning police chase ended with two children in the hospital.
Shortly before 3 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 13, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on westbound Interstate 70 between Bates City and Odessa.
According to a report, Lafayette County officials were chasing a 34-year-old woman from St. Charles, Missouri, when she wrecked her car in the median.
The vehicle was totaled, and her two daughters, ages 9 and 10, suffered minor injuries. It’s unclear if they were wearing seatbelts. Both girls were taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital for treatment.
No injuries were listed for the driver and her identity was not released. As of Monday morning, charges have not been filed in relation to this incident.
