The brazen moment two men were caught allegedly 'nicking a tumble dryer' from an Edinburgh driveway was caught on camera.

The bizarre incident took place on Friday, October 10, outside a property in Silverknowes while the resident was out for a few hours.

The homeowner, who wishes to remain anonymous, claims two men walked onto the bottom of the drive and "helped themselves" to the appliance she was planning on gifting to a family member.

The tumble dryer was sitting outside after the resident had bought a new one and had agreed to give the old appliance to her niece.

However, while she was away from her home for around 40 minutes, the two men came onto her property and left with the dryer.

Police Scotland has been made aware and confirmed enquiries are ongoing.
