VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - The University System of Georgia (USG) announced Oct. 14. that Dr. William “Bill” Crowe will serve as the interim president of Valdosta State University (VSU) beginning in the new year.
This comes after current university president Richard Carvajal announced his plans to become the president of California State Polytechnic University.

Currently, Crowe helps manage projects at VSU’s Center for South Georgia Regional Impact, according to the announcement from USG. Crowe has reportedly served as a college police chief, community college president and senior faculty member at the University of Georgia before accepting this interim role at VSU.
