MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Montgomery Police Department has arrested a third individual in connection to the mass shooting that killed two people and left 12 others injured on Oct. 4.
Javorick Whiting, 19, was charged with attempted murder in connection to the incident that occurred in the area of Bibb Street and Commerce Street. According to the Montgomery Police Department, Whiting was taken into custody on Thursday and placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
43-year-old Shalanda Williams and 17-year-old Jeremiah Morris were killed in the shooting.
The Montgomery Police Department also arrested 19-year-old Dantavious McGhee and a juvenile male in with capital murder, nine counts of first-degree assault and three counts of second-degree in connection to the case.
