WINSLOW, Ariz. — The City of Winslow has a new police chief.
Ernesto Cano, who has been serving as acting chief for the past 10 months, has been selected to fill the role, according to a news release from Winslow's city manager.
Cano was promoted from Lieutenant to the new position.
Cano has served the Winslow Police Department for the past 18 years.
"Mr. Cano holds a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Bethel University and brings nearly 30 years of successful experience in law enforcement to the City leadership team, the news release said.
