GASTONIA, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- An arrest was made following a bomb threat at the Gaston County Administration Building Wednesday.
According to the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office, the threat came into the Communications Center on West Main Avenue around 1:11 pm. Within minutes, a multi-agency response began shutting down surrounding roadways as well as establishing a safety perimeter.
County Communications personnel were able to verify that the telephone number used to report the threat was listed to a nearby address.
At 1:39 p.m., sheriff's deputies located and arrested the suspect, Timothy Mark Henderson.
Henderson was charged with making a false report concerning destructive device and is currently being held at the Gaston County Jail. He received a $250,000 secured bond.
