ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - The Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in searching for a missing woman.

Tammy Lynn Elliott is described as 57 years old, 5’2″, 150 pounds, with grey, curly hair and hazel eyes, according to the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say she is originally from Bay City, Michigan but has been living in Lexington, VA for around eight years. She has been missing since October 12, 2025, according to deputies.

Neighbors reported seeing her with a U-Haul, but this hasn’t been confirmed, according to deputies. Deputies say she doesn’t own a vehicle.

Deputies say it’s unusual for her to lose contact with her family, her social media accounts show no activity, and her phone is turned off.
