Multi-vehicle crash blocking westbound traffic on I

PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - Westbound traffic on the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge is blocked on Monday afternoon due to a multi-vehicle crash.

This is the bridge between Paducah and Metropolis, Illinois.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, emergency crews are on the scene.

They reminded drivers that passenger vehicles may detour via the U.S. 45 Ohio River “Brookport” Bridge between Paducah and Brookport, Ill.

However, semis and large commercial vehicles are prohibited from crossing the Brookport Bridge due to height, weight and load restrictions.

The nearest detour for semis and commercial vehicles is the U.S. 51 Ohio River “Cairo” Bridge between Wickliffe, Ky. and Cairo, Ill.
