CORDES LAKES, AZ (AZFamily) — Search and rescue crews are looking for a vehicle that was swept away in Big Bug Creek during flooding Tuesday evening, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office.
The rescue was called in around 4 p.m. in Cordes Lakes, and crews have been on scene for hours, searching the rushing water for the vehicle and anybody inside.
Sheriff’s officials have not provided an update on whether the vehicle has been spotted or if anyone has been rescued.
Multiple agencies respond to scene
Several fire departments responded to assist with the search efforts. A helicopter was deployed overhead to search through the creek from above.
