HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point police are investigating a deadly crash after a pedestrian was hit and killed on the night of Nov. 21.
Around 6:27 p.m., officers and firefighters were called to Dillon Road at Bales Chapel Road, where they found a person lying in the roadway. Guilford County EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Police say the car involved continued down the road after the crash. A witness who saw the crash followed the driver and called 911. Patrol officers found the car and driver within minutes.
According to investigators, the driver is cooperating, and neither speed nor impairment is believed to be a factor.
