JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WAVE) - More than 8,500 customers in Clark County are without power Wednesday morning, the outage map for Duke Energy shows.

The outage is mostly in the eastern half of Jeffersonville and the cause is unknown at this time.

According to Duke Energy, the outage was first reported around 6:40 a.m.

Power is expected to be restored by 9:30 a.m.
