Severe weather is causing disruptions during one of the busiest travel weeks of the year.

This morning, three flights scheduled to land in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) have been diverted to Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) due to severe weather: one from Florida and two from Pennsylvania.

Several flights departing CAE for ATL have also been delayed or diverted.

Heavy rain is expected to continue in Atlanta throughout the day. Travelers are advised to check the status of their flights and prepare accordingly.
