LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Two LMPD officers remain on paid administrative leave Wednesday following an officer-involved shooting on November 22.
Chief Paul Humphrey answered questions from the media about the incident on Wednesday.
“Unfortunate series of events that happened the other night,” he said. “But that’s what we’re asking our officers to do is go out there, put themselves in harm’s way in order to protect their community.”
The name of the man killed has not been released yet.
In 2019, Officer Norton was involved in another fatal police shooting when he and another officer shot and killed Shelby Gazaway outside the Kroger on North 35 th Street.
