Sunday was a cloudy and cool day, with light rain around throughout the day. Many locations only picked up a tenth of an inch of rain or less. However, Troy and Andalusia/Opp picked up around one-quarter to one-third of an inch of rain. Otherwise, the sky was overcast, with high temperatures only in the upper 50s to low 60s. Rain departed Sunday evening after a cold front pushed through our area. Sunday night remains cloudy and cool with lows in the 40s.

Monday looks cloudy and cool, with highs in the 50s to low 60s. Another round of rain arrives mainly Monday evening, becoming widespread and heavy at times Monday night into early Tuesday morning. This could be the soaking rain our area needs to really put a dent in the ongoing drought. Rain totals could range from 1-2 inches area-wide. S
