The National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory at 1:11 p.m. on Monday valid for Tuesday between 4 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Carbon and Monroe counties.
The weather service says, "Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches with localized amounts to 6 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze."
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes," says the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1."
