New Jersey is home to some of the worst drivers in the northeast.
That’s according to a new report released by Consumer Affairs , which says high rates of fatal car crashes, coupled with winter weather and road congestion, is what sets the northeast apart for bad driving.
Four New Jersey municipalities ranked in the top 10 cities with the worst drivers.
Camden ranked second on the list, which was released this week.
The rate of fatal crashes involving bad driving in the South Jersey City is six times of the national figure, at 18.2 deaths per 100,000 people.
Lakewood ranked third due to having the highest rate of deaths involving positive blood alcohol content readings, at 7.12 per 100,000 people.
Newark ranked eighth, with almost 10 deaths for every 100,000 people in car accidents
