A Las Vegas, N.M., man is wanted by police in connection with a violent domestic incident that began Saturday night at an apartment complex on Siler Road in Santa Fe.

Santa Fe police accuse 34-year-old Darius Sandoval of kidnapping his girlfriend at gunpoint from her home at the Siler Yard apartments and brutally beating her before threatening a stranger as the victim attempted to escape.

A warrant was issued Monday for Sandoval's arrest on a handful of felony charges, but he did not appear to have been arrested as of Tuesday evening, according to the Santa Fe County jail's inmate database.

Sandoval faces counts of first-degree kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated battery against a household member, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery, according to a criminal complaint
