DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will be out of action for the foreseeable future.

According to ESPN, the QB will require toe surgery, which will cost him at least the next three months of the season.

During Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Burrow left the game midway through the second quarter.

This is the third major injury requiring surgery that Burrow has suffered during his tenure with the Bengals.

2020: Burrow suffered tears in the ACL and MCL in his left knee against Washington his rookie season. After recovery, he won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year after the 2021 season.

2023: Burrow tore a ligament in his right (throwing) wrist against Baltimore. He again won NFL Comeback Player of the Year after the 2024
