YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A York County man was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for his role in a drug conspiracy that distributed 400 grams of fentanyl across the Rock Hill and Charlotte region.

Federal investigators with the U.S. Department of Justice said Eric Brown sold drugs obtained from other members of a conspiracy operating out of Rock Hill. The group trafficked cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and counterfeit pills made to resemble 30-milligram Oxycodone tablets, also known by the generic name Roxicodone.

According to court records, conspiracy members manufactured the fake pills using fentanyl at various locations in the Rock Hill and Charlotte areas. Brown was supplied with both pure fentanyl and fentanyl-laced pills for distribution, the DOJ said.
