Scottsdale Police have identified the body of a man pulled from a flooded area of Vista Del Camino Park Saturday, Sept. 27, as 38-year-old Ander Polanco.

Around 7:40 p.m. on Sept. 26 , officers responded to reports of a vehicle submerged in water near 77th Street and Garfield, according to a statement from the Scottsdale Police Department.

The vehicle was located in the park, where the passenger compartment was fully flooded. Only the trunk was visible above water, according to the the statement.

Due to swift water hazards, officers were unable to reach the vehicle and requested assistance from Scottsdale Fire Department for a swift water rescue, according to the statement.

Police drones and helicopters were deployed to examine the vehicle, but no movement or signs of life were observe
