The Scottsdale Police Department is inviting community members to provide feedback as the department enters the year two re-accreditation review with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement.

According to a press release, to achieve accredited status, Scottsdale PD must comply with 462 standards. Accreditation lasts four years, and the agency must submit annual reports attesting to its compliance with accreditation standards. A compliance service member from CALEA will begin a file review on Scottsdale PD on Oct. 31 to examine the department’s management, operations, support services and policies and procedures.
