PAGELAND, S.C. ( WBTV /Gray News) - The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office has identified those facing charges after a child died early Sunday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, 11 people have been charged in connection with the death of a 9-year-old boy who was shot in the parking lot of a convenience store.

Authorities said deputies responded to the Blue Sky Mart off SC Highway 9 at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. When deputies arrived, they found the boy with a gunshot wound to the face.

Chesterfield County Sheriff Cambo Streater said they believed two teen boys were meeting to fight over a girl.
