LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation says it will institute a traffic shift in Lexington County as a four-way stop becomes a roundabout.
SCDOT said the change will begin Oct. 13 at Old Wire Road and U.S. 21.
Once changes are completed, the agency said temporary pavement in the roundabout’s center will be removed so crews can complete the center island. After that, final pavement and pavement markings will be placed.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and pay attention to traffic signs and crews working.
Construction is expected to be finished in spring 2026.
