Two weeks into the search for a missing nine year old Melodee Buzzard, officers have revealed disturbing new details that have emerged.
The hunt for Melodee started on October 14, when a school representative raised the alarm about her long term absence. Police attended the family home and questioned the schoolgirl's mum Ashlee Buzzard, 35.
The child wasn't at the property and officers said "no verifiable explanation for [Melodee's] whereabouts was provided,".
New CCTV images of Melodee have been i ssued by police which shows her inside a vehicle hire establishment on October 7 in Santa Barbara. The recording was captured just seven days before she was declared missing from her hometown of Lompoc, approximately 55 miles from her final confirmed location.
