A Boston firefighter was arraigned Wednesday on charges of raping a child over the course of six years and paying her to stay quiet, court records show.

James A. Corbett, 60, of Brockton, was ordered held at Suffolk County Jail on $25,000 bail Wednesday, records show.

He posted bail Thursday and was released on the condition that he stay away from his accuser, have no contact with children under 16, surrender any firearms and his passport, and submit to GPS monitoring with home confinement, according to court records.
