While cops have plenty of experience chasing down bad guys, the suspect that police officers in Gloucester County encountered Friday morning had a bit more horsepower.
Officers in Monroe Township responded to the Hunter Woods neighborhood shortly before 8 a.m. for a report of a horse on the loose.
They arrived and eventually caught up with their four-legged suspect, according to a video the Monroe Township Police Department posted on Facebook .
The horse, who could be seen grazing on a well-manicured front lawn, galloped off when confronted.
Officer Nathan O’Lano valiantly chased the stallion on foot but couldn’t catch him at first.
Thanks to a little teamwork and perseverance, though, officers were eventually able to safely secure the animal and return it to its owner, police said.
