SHREVEPORT, La. - SporTran is looking to redesign its routes next year, but first wants to hear from you.
Tuesday was the first of several hearings to get public feedback on proposed route changes. The project involves eliminating four existing routes and consolidating them into three new routes: Metro Loop 31, Metro Loop 32, and Route 1 Hearne/East King Highway.
"We wanted to make sure that we were able to be more effective," said SporTran CEO Dinero' Washington. "People were able to come in and give us additional opinions about different things."
There are additional meetings scheduled:
Wednesday, Dec. 3, 3-5 p.m. at Bilberry Park and Recreation Center
Friday, Dec. 5, 1-3 p.m. at David Raines Community Center
Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at A.B. Palmer Recreation Center
