The best mate of a man who was found "stumbling around" in Halifax town centre and had to be placed into a coma has issued an urgent appeal for information.

Steve Bell, from Dewsbury, described the "sickening" phone call he received from the police, telling him that his "best friend" of 10 years had been put into an induced coma following emergency surgery. His partner, 43 year old Mikey Leese, was spotted by a passerby in a "bad way" in Halifax Town Centre, specifically in the Barum area, around 2am on Sunday morning (November 30).
