TOLEDO, Ohio —

Local elected officials are starting to weigh in on the proposed changes at Toledo Public Schools .

Some are saying they believe the district's funding issues are stemming from a lack of state funding, while others say it's because of dropping enrollment numbers.

Before serving as a Lucas County commissioner, Lisa Sobecki was a TPS board member for eight years.

"Back in 2010 when the first transformational plan, the 1.0 plan was put out, I was on the board," Sobecki said.

The district is now proposing changes, part of transformation plan 2.0.
